Pharmaceuticals Committee

The pharma working group is keen to be an active partner with government, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders in the area of healthcare with focus on improving the health and quality of life of Indian people by discovering, developing and making available safe, cost effective and quality medicines. The group also discusses the regulatory environment for the pharma industry in India.

UCPMP

A voluntary code and this uploading is being done at the behest of the Government of India and its provisions are currently being discussed with the Government of India.

Mission Statement

To collaborate with stakeholders and work towards policy outcomes that are in sync with the needs and challenges faced by Member companies and patients.

This Committee will also provide advocacy and solutions on improving access and affordability to best-in-class therapies for patients in India while fostering a enabling environment for research and innovation, in line with the priorities of the Government of India.

It will also focus on strengthening the India-US relationship by forging public-private partnerships which will play an important role in bridging critical gaps in the healthcare ecosystem.
