A meeting of the Executive Committee of AMCHAM’s Northern Region Council (NRC) was held on 4th June 2018 in the office of ATC, Gurugram. Mr. Amit Sharma, Chairman – NRC, welcomed and requested members to give their suggestions regarding the focus of activities for NRC. Members suggested organizing training programs for various institutions on new technologies. Other topics of interest for discussion with states would be the role of FDI, AI, robotics and skill development.

Mr. Vinay Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate, Gurugam, joined the meeting and heard from members the challenges they faced while doing business in Haryana. He was open to suggestions and said that the Haryana Government had a shelf of CSR projects which could be undertaken by U.S. companies. Mr. Vivek Atray, former IAS officer and Adviser to Vibrant Advisory Services, said that he could work with AMCHAM to enhance its visibility through social media; help organize events; and enroll U.S. companies that were not members of AMCHAM.
