AMCHAM’s Northern Region, based out of New Delhi performs as the nodal point of collaboration for the U.S. companies operating in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for interacting with states government authorities they operate in. The region also facilitates interaction and advocacy with the Union Ministries and Central Government Departments located in New Delhi.  

The Northern Region works closely with various sectoral committees co-located at AMCHAM’s headquarters in New Delhi. The region facilitates reference of member company issues to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India under the U.S-India Fast Track Mechanism set up by the Ministry of Commerce. 

The region also facilitates bi-monthly briefing by the USG officials.

Government Engagement

• Meetings with key officials of various Ministries are arranged from time to time to discuss key issues as they arise.
• Regular engagements with the DPIIT and Invest India are undertaken for resolving member issues processed through the U.S.-India Fast Track Mechanism.
