AMCHAM Defense Committee members met with the Hon’ble Deborah Lee James, Secretary, U.S. Air Force, on 26th August in New Delhi. The Secretary mentioned that the U.S. Air Force was optimistic about the future of co-developing and co-producing defence systems with India and excited about their part of the Defence Technology Trade Initiative (DTTI). The interaction was very timely as she met with Secretary of the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Mr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, immediately after this meeting and mentioned she would carry information from the interaction. She was accompanied by Heidi Grant, Deputy Under Secretary of the U.S. Air Force, International Affairs.
