AMCHAM held a meeting on October 10th with a team from the World Bank led by Ms. Graciela Miralles Murciego, Sr. Economist, World Bank Group. Participants discussed matters connected with competition law and its implementation, including anti-competitive conducts and M&A, competition concerns in key sectors such as network industry, digital platforms, pharma, etc. and competitive neutrality as well as whether SOE participation in the market was hindering competitiveness dynamics. The discussions have given scope for a larger event on this topic which can be planned collectively by AMCHAM and World Bank. Experts from Ernst & Young and other AMCHAM members participated in the discussions.
