Karnataka Chapter met Dr. Ashwath Narayan, Minister for Higher Education IT&BT, Science and Technology, Skill Development, Government of Karnataka, Dr. Ramana Reddy, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioner Development IT&BT in Bengaluru. Members from GE Healthcare, Rossell Techsys, IBM, HPE, Dell and Simple Learn shared about challenges and opportunities where U.S. companies could work in tandem with the Government of Karnataka on skill development, emerging technologies, higher education and startups. The Minister was re-appraised of the work that each company had done in these fields. Creating an ecosystem between government and industry was discussed and the Minister and Commissioner outlined areas of mutual support.
