AMCHAM’s Medical Technology Working group met virtually on September 2nd under the chairmanship of Ms. Aileen Nandi, Honorary USG Chairperson – Healthcare Committee, AMHCAM and Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy, Ms. Meenakshi Nevatia, Chairperson – Medical Technology Working Group, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Stryker India and Mr. Manoj Madhavan, Co-Chairman – Medical Technology Working Group, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Boston Scientific.

During the meeting members had an interactive session with U.S. Embassy officials: Ms. Aileen Nandi, Mr. John Cabeca, U.S. Intellectual Property (IP) Attaché for South Asia and Ms. Ann Mason, Trade and Technology Unit Chief. Members deliberated points on the health cess, PPO, pricing, standard, labelling and UCPMP based on the meetings AMCHAM had with Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. The meeting concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Manoj Madhavan who thanked members for their valuable inputs.
