On 19th June 2019, a learning and sharing session on ‘Supply Chains for a Digital World’ was organized by AMCHAM’s Supply Chain and Logistics Committee. The session began with opening remarks by Ms. Surabhi Wahal, Regional Director – Western Region, AMCHAM India followed by the welcome address by Mr. Kumar Kandaswami, Chairman – Supply Chain and Logistics Committee, AMCHAM and Partner, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP.

Industry expert Mr. Jaideep Ghosh, Partner & National Head of Transport & Logistics Sector, KPMG in India and Mr. Neeraj Verma, Partner, KPMG in India, shared a very insightful and interesting presentation bringing to fore how digital disruption was changing the world in which we live and work, in turn causing increased expectations of customers. The experts shared the importance and significance of the 5 key building blocks to a digital supply chain – 1. define digital 2. start with performance 3. focus on ROI 4. develop your people 5. partner for success.

Case studies brought in further understanding of how these developments have been catalysts to improving changing forecasts and accuracy as well how companies could save revenue. The presentation was followed by an engaging Q&A session. The session ended with Mr. Prasad Shidaye, Director – CLS, Johnson & Johnson Medical India, thanking the esteemed speakers for an informative presentation while also thanking the participants for their active participation.
