AMCHAM’s Hyderabad Chapter was instituted in March 2000 coinciding with the visit of President Bill Clinton to India. AMCHAM’s Hyderabad Chapter has a dynamic and engaging year with a variety of events aimed at fostering growth, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among members. Some key initiatives are listed here.

       1. 12th Healthcare Conference 

• This conference serves as a platform to explore and discuss critical issues and innovations shaping the future of the healthcare industry. This year, under the theme ‘Shaping the Future of Healthcare’ the conference will explore:
  • Healthcare Technology
  • Preventive Care & Well-Being
  • Future Proofing Healthcare: Equity & Sustainability
  • Start-ups & Healthcare Collaboration 

       2. Hyderabad Chapter Sports

• This signature event is held annually from September to December, with preparations beginning in June, providing an opportunity for employees of member companies to engage in friendly competition and team-building activities.
• These sports disciplines are included: cricket, basketball, throwball, volleyball (men’s), football, badminton, table tennis, tennis, athletics, carom and chess. 

       3. Sessions and Knowledge-Sharing Initiatives

• Privacy Laws: A session on the importance and implications of privacy laws and non-compliance for members.
• AI & Reimagining HR: A session in collaboration with EY, exploring how AI can transform HR practices.
• U.S. Visa Updates: A session in association with the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad, on recent updates and changes in U.S. visa policies.

       4. Signature Event with Minister of IT, Government of Telangana:

• A key event with keynote address by the Minister of IT, Government of Telangana, addressed AMCHAM members on relevant issues.

       5. Regular CEO Meetings:

• Regular engagements with the CEOs of member companies, allowing for discussions on various business challenges and opportunities.
