Future of U.S.-India Corporate Travel Post COVID-19 – 14th May 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the travel industry around the world. Travel service providers like tourism boards, airlines, hotels, fleet rentals and others need to constantly innovate and change the future of how business travellers commute. Companies will change travel policies to enable safe and essential business travel. On May 14th, AMCHAM’s U.S.-India Travel & Tourism Working Group hosted an interactive webinar with speakers from industry showcasing how industry is innovating to make business travel simple and safe.
Ms. Aileen Nandi, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy, set the opening remarks followed by Ms. Sheema Vohra, Managing Director – India, Brand USA. Mr. Anup Taneja, Regional Director Global Sales India & Sub Continent, Marriott International, presented the innovations by Marriott Hotels around the world to adapt to travel post the pandemic and Mr. Pukhraj Joneja, Head Products & Industry Relations, FCM, set the context from a travel management perspective. This was followed by inputs from various members and questions for the panellists. The webinar was attended by corporate travel leads from member companies like Hewlett Packard, Lowe’s, IBM, Inteva Products, Fragomen and more.
