The first meeting of the LGBTQ Chapter of AMCHAM’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee was held on July 12th in Mumbai. The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Sudhir Jain, Chapter Leader – D&I Committee LGBTQ Chapter, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer, Bank of America N.A. A round of introductions followed where members shared an overview of the LGBTQ journey of their respective organizations and their involvements in LGBTQ supporting events.

As part of the agenda, members ideated on the focus areas for the LGBTQ Chapter, defined a roadmap for forthcoming chapter initiatives and decided on the frequency of chapter meetings. The meeting concluded with closing remarks and vote of thanks by Ms. Ursula Thakkar, Co-Chairperson – D&I Committee, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Lubrizol Advanced Materials India Pvt. Ltd. who thanked participants for their valuable inputs, Bank of America for hosting the meeting and AMCHAM for the platform to drive this significant agenda.
