AMCHAM’s Defense Committee members met with Air Marshal Sandeep Singh, Military Adviser to National Security Advisor to Government of India on February 13th, 2024 at National Security Council Secretariat, Sardar Patel Bhavan, New Delhi. Wg Cdr Rajiv Anand, Senior Director, AMCHAM gave a brief overview of the chamber and requested members to introduce themselves. Mr. Alain Garcia, Chairman – Defense Committee, AMCHAM and Vice President, Global Business Development – India, Boeing Defense opened the discussions and highlighted the challenges that U.S. defense companies were facing. RDML Micheal Baker, Defense Attache, U.S. Embassy shared the U.S. government perspective on the policy matters discussed. Ms. Udaya Arun, Director, AMCHAM provided details on the ratio of defense membership to the complete membership of the chamber. Other senior members also pitched in with their specific programs and sought guidance. Air Marshal Singh listened to members’ views with keenness and shared candid observations.
