AMCHAM’s Defense Committee members met with Ms. Cara Abercrombie, previously the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for South and Southeast Asia, U.S. Department of Defense, in New Delhi on 3rd August. Currently she is researching and writing at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace but continues to be affiliated to the DoD. Ms. Abercrombie is an old friend of AMCHAM and members have met her many times during her previous visits. Members discussed the U.S.-India defense climate and the challenges and opportunities the sector currently faces.
