On December 1st, AMCHAM’s Aviation Committee met at the Pratt & Whitney office at Gurugram under the leadership of Ms. Ashmita Sethi, Chairperson – Aviation Committee, AMCHAM and President & Country Head, Pratt & Whitney, United Technologies Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. Ms. Udaya Arun, Director – Aerospace & Defense, AMCHAM welcomed members for showing a strong presence at the first in-person meeting for the committee and laid out the agenda for the meeting. Ms. Sethi formally welcomed Dr. Daniel Jacobs, Senior Representative of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to India, U.S. Embassy. Dr. Jacobs, in his brief remarks, shared their close association and success in working with authorities in the Indian government while highlighting and extending any help required to U.S. companies. Further meetings with different ministries and nodal offices were explored along with the agenda for focussed sessions during the first quarter of 2023.
