The Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee organized its first meeting for the year 2023-24 on June 1^st at Beam Suntory’s office in Gurugram. Ms. Komple Sharma, Director, AMCHAM welcomed participants. Mr. Gaurav Ajmani, Chairman – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel: Business Conduct & Ethics, Amazon Seller Services (P) Ltd. and Ms. Bhawna A. Ranganadhan, Co-Chairperson – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel, Legal and Compliance, Genpact recapped the committee’s activities of the previous year. The theme of the meeting was cyber frauds and how compliance professionals dealing with the new menace. Members discussed various types of cyber frauds happening at workplaces and shared their remedial measures. Issues like cloning of emails, phone numbers, data leakage, phishing, hacking v.s. attack, etc. were discussed. The group also discussed reporting obligation to CERT-In. The meeting concluded with the group brainstorming about the possible themes for the 10th edition of the Anti-Corruption Compliance & Risk Management Master Class.
