AMCHAM’s Agriculture and Food Processing Committee met on May 24th, 2018 at the Cargill office in Gurugram, under the chairmanship of Mr. Siraj Azmat Chaudhry, Chairman, Cargill. The committee discussed challenges to focus on. AMCAHM offered to interact with members and glean specific issues and make a white paper on the same. It was decided that the executive committee would prepare a social media campaign. The committee wanted to set up a fund for a focused and effective social media campaign through AMCHAM, possibly targeting one section of industry per quarter so that the activities of AMCHAM can be measurable.

It was also decided to publish the knowledge paper being prepared with Grant Thornton for the benefit of government employees and interest groups in the agriculture domain. AMCHAM’s secretariat represented by Debasish Roy requested that each member identify other U.S. companies in the agriculture and food domain to join AMCHAM to strengthen the committee.
