Accelerating the Vaccination Process for Everyone – An Interaction with United Way Bengaluru & Sattva Consulting– 10 June 2021
AMCHAM’s Karnataka Chapter organized a virtual interaction with the United Way Bengaluru and Sattva Consulting on June 10th to provide an overview of the ‘Vaccinate and Donate’ initiative. With vaccination as the most effective measure to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the initiative aims to enable companies to make vaccinations available to their employees in Bengaluru as well as vaccinate the underserved communities in the city who are the most vulnerable groups namely auto, bus and truck drivers, construction workers, crematorium workers, domestic workers, vegetable vendors, etc.
Mr. Ravi Krishnan, Vice Chair – Karnataka Chapter, AMCHAM and CAO, Goldman Sachs welcomed participants, spoke on the importance of vaccines and encouraged companies to come together to combat COVID. Mr. Rajesh Krishnan, Executive Director, United Way of Bengaluru and Ms. Aarti Mohan, Co-Founder and Partner, Sattva Consulting, walked participants through a comprehensive presentation on the initiative. An overview of the current scenario on vaccinations in Karnataka, details of the program, associated costs and the roll our plan were discussed. Members asked questions to help determine if their companies could participate in the efforts.
