The 5th U.S.-India Fast Track Mechanism meeting was held on February 15th, under the chairpersonship of Ms. Himani Pande, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. In the agenda, amongst other items, were listed issues raised by Dell Technologies, Apple India, Flex , Johnson & Johnson India and FMC Corporation. Representatives from these member companies attended the meeting and presented their concerns. Discussions were related to parametric release of medical devices, delays in obtaining regulatory approvals for pesticides and agrochemicals, clarification of definition of HSN Code #85176960 and elimination of marking and labelling requirements under battery waste management and plastic waste management rules 2022.
