AMCHAM was a partner for the U.S.-India country roundtable held at SEMICON India 2026 on September 17^th in New Delhi. Senior representatives from IESA, SEMI, and 14 state government actively participated in the discussion, which was chaired by Mr. John Coronado, Honorary National Executive Board Member, AMCHAM and Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy. With the announcement of the $13.5 billion ISM 2.0, AMCHAM praised the government of India’s efforts and shared how U.S. businesses are firmly established in India with an emphasis on high-end design innovation and industrial execution. AMD, Applied Material, Dell, IBM, Intel, MacDermid, Synopsis, and other representatives from U.S. industry participated in the session. The deliberations focused on fostering a robust innovation and talent ecosystem, building domestic capabilities, and advancing opportunities for industry collaboration. The dialogue also highlighted the importance of the U.S.-India partnership in further strengthening cooperation in this strategic technology sector.
