AMCHAM launched its Thought Leadership Series with an insightful session featuring Dr. Arvind Virmani, Member, NITI Aayog at the Boeing office in New Delhi on October 15^th.  The session centred on the current dynamics of the global economy and their potential impact on India. Dr. Virmani provided insights into the global economic outlook and its implications for India over the next 10 to 15 years, with a particular emphasis on the United States. He discussed the effects of demographic changes and geopolitical challenges facing both nations. Highlighting the need for collaboration, Dr. Virmani proposed that joint efforts between the U.S. and India could better leverage their demographic advantages and tackle geopolitical issues, such as de-risking and supply chain diversification. He argued that such collective action would expedite the achievement of mutual goals while reducing costs. The session concluded with an engaging interaction among members. The session was conducted in a hybrid fashion with 45+ virtual participants.
