AMCHAM members from the healthcare sector met with Dr. Arunish Chawla, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India on April 9th at his office in New Delhi. Members addressed the existing policy and regulatory framework pertaining to the MedTech and pharma sectors. Participants discussed the PPO & GTE (Inclusion & Exclusion Process), Trade Margin Ratio (TMR), National List of Essential Medicines (D), regulatory harmonization, IMDRF harmonized standards, legal metrology, Drugs and Magic Remedy Bill, and UCPMP and UCMDMP, among other topics. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM, extended an invitation to the Secretary and requested his presence for the 2nd Healthcare Summit: Accelerating Accessible Healthcare: Technology Transformation on July 16th in New Delhi.
