On April 2nd, AMCHAM’s Defense Committee met with students and faculty of the National War College. Wg Cdr Rajiv Anand, Senior Director, AMCHAM welcomed participants and gave an overview AMCHAM. Mr. Alain Garcia, Chairman – Defence Committee, AMCHAM and Vice President, International Business Development, Boeing Defense Space & Security, Boeing India Defense provided these future leaders with valuable insights into the American defense industry. Committee members from BAE Systems India, Honeywell, Smiths Detection System and Raytheon Technologies engaged in a thoughtful session focused on U.S.-India relations in the context of defense partnerships. Interaction revolved around opportunities for collaboration between the U.S. and India in defense procurement and technology sharing, evolving strategic landscape in the Indo-Pacific region, importance of a strong U.S.-India defense partnership in ensuring regional security while highlighting the growing importance of U.S.-India defense cooperation and the challenges faced by U.S. defense companies doing business in India.
