India stands at a pivotal moment in its development journey, where securing energy abundance, affordability, reliability, and sustainability is essential for long-term growth, industrialization, and global leadership. AMCHAM’s Energy Committee has been focusing upon how the U.S. companies can support India in its energy transition efforts by leveraging domestic endowments such as coal, natural gas, and renewables, advanced bio fuels, combined with targeted deployment of clean coal technologies, coal gasification with carbon management and CCUS, natural gas expansion, and the integration of small modular reactors (SMRs).

Interactions are held with stakeholders across the energy sector, including, central and state governments, PSUs, relevant institutions, U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Embassy in India, to create a holistic environment for U.S. companies to partner with the Indian government and institutional stakeholders to support India’s move towards achieving net zero goals.
