AMCHAM’s Defense Committee held a meeting on January 30th in New Delhi under the leadership of Mr. Alain Garcia, Chairman – Defense Committee, AMCHAM and Vice President, International Business Development, Boeing Defense Space & Security, Boeing India Defense and Mr. Gaurav Mehndiratta, Co-Chairman – Defense Committee, AMCHAM and Partner and Head – Aerospace & Defence, KPMG India. CAPT Chad Gagnon, Chief, Office of Defense Cooperation, U.S. Embassy, Col Anthony Hughes, Director, Defense Cooperation in Armaments & Space, U.S. Embassy, Ms. Janine Miller, Director Navy Programs, U.S. Embassy and Mr. Arkadeb Banerjee, Program Assistant, U.S. Embassy, participated in the meeting. Representatives from BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon Technologies were present. Members shared their perspectives on U.S.-India defense relations and opportunities going forward, revival of U.S.-India Defense Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI), development of U.S.-India Defense Framework 2025 and issues regarding co-development, co-production and indigenous content requirements. Government and industry participation at AeroIndia 2025 was also discussed.
