AMCHAM’s Cyber Security Committee organized a session on ‘Decrypting India’s Security Certification’ on March 6th virtually. Chaired by FTI Consulting, the virtual meeting led by Mr. Prasanto Roy, Senior Advisor, FTI Consulting delved into challenges faced by IT and telecom vendors due to diverse security requirements. Representatives from various member companies such as HPE, Cisco, Verizon, AT&T, Fortinet, Corning, etc. focused on building advocacy for a more agile and predictable process, engaging with the Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the National Cybersecurity Coordinator. The potential benefits of a U.S.-India Trusted Technology Corridor model for comprehensive IT infrastructure security collaboration were explored. Harmonization of security standards for reduced testing and certification timelines was also discussed.
