AMCHAM’s Energy Committee had a meeting with Mr. Rajesh Kulhari, Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, on October 29^th to discuss emerging business opportunities in the renewable sector. Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM, opened the discussions. Ms. Swati Sahai, Lead – Renewable Energy Sub-Group, Energy Committee, AMCHAM and Director & Head of Government Affairs and Policy – India, GE Vernova highlighted the role of U.S. companies in India for supporting Atmanirbhar Bharat goals and localization initiatives underway. Mr. Kulhari invited members to participate in the periodical meetings organized by the Ministry, highlighted the role of renewable energy in supporting data center growth in India, and the role of industry in bringing about cutting-edge technologies across the renewable sector. The meeting was attended by representatives from 3M, GE Vernova, FTI Consulting, Pyxera Global, and Rockwell Automation.
