AMCHAM’s ICT Committee convened virtually with 33 industry representatives on October 13^th for a meeting to deliberate on five key policy priorities: AI governance, sovereign cloud, Digital Competition Bill, IT hardware import processes, and data protection implementation. Mr. Sandeep Aurora, Chairman – ICT Committee, AMCHAM and Group Director and Head of Public Policy & Government Affairs, Microsoft India & South Asia, outlined the key priorities, while Mr. Vikram Sridharan, Co-Chairman – ICT Committee, AMCHAM and Director – Infrastructure Public Policy, APJ & Public Policy, India, AWS, underscored the importance of data centers and the broader digital infrastructure supply chain. Members emphasized the need for clear, predictable, and consultative policy frameworks that balance national sovereignty and security with innovation, resilience, and sustained investment.
