AMCHAM’s Ethics & Compliance Committee organized a committee meeting with the theme ‘Building the Compliance Function of 2030’ on August 21st in Aerocity, New Delhi. Members deliberated and designed the Compliance Function of 2030, exploring how people, AI and technology, risk management, monitoring, investigations, culture, and governance can come together to create a more proactive, intelligent and future-ready compliance function. It examined where AI can augment compliance processes and where human judgment must remain central, particularly in high-stakes decisions and investigations. The discussion also focused on moving from periodic, manual compliance processes towards continuous risk sensing, automated controls and stronger governance.
