Recommendations on Draft Code on Wages (Karnataka) Rules, 2026

AMCHAM submitted suggestions to the Department of Labour, Government of Karnataka on the Draft Code on Wages (Karnataka) Rules, 2026. The recommendations cover publication of authority details and jurisdiction, harmonization with the Draft Central Wage Rules, definitional clarity on shifts and skill categorization, employer and sector representation on advisory bodies, treatment of deductions and advances at separation and principal employer liability, and transparency in the inspection scheme alongside digitisation of forms.
