AMCHAM’s Eastern Region members had a successful meeting on July 9^th in Kolkata with Mr. Tapas Roy, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Department of Industry, Commerce and Enterprises, Government of West Bengal. The discussion focused on potential areas of collaboration between member companies and the Government of West Bengal. The Hon’ble Minister expressed keen interest in holding a follow-up interaction with AMCHAM toward the end of this month to discuss their key concerns and opportunities for collaboration. He also conveyed his interest in engaging with members from across India to explore potential investment opportunities in the state. In particular, he expressed a strong interest in discussions on global capability centers (GCCs), artificial intelligence and the semiconductor sector.
