On June 30th, members of AMCHAM’s Karnataka Chapter met with Ms. Khushboo G. Chowdary, IAS, Commissioner for Industrial Development & Director of Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka, to introduce the chamber and to discuss opportunities for strengthening collaboration between the Government of Karnataka and the U.S. industry. The discussion included an overview of AMCHAM and the Karnataka Chapter, highlighting the chamber’s role in promoting U.S.-India trade,  investment, technology, manufacturing, and policy engagement. The delegation also shared perspectives from U.S. industry on key areas such as industrial development, advanced manufacturing, innovation, infrastructure, ease of doing business, and talent development. The meeting provided an opportunity to understand the Department’s priorities for industrial growth and investment promotion. Discussions were held on enhancing government-industry engagement, strengthening mechanisms for regular industry feedback, and exploring fast-track facilitation mechanisms to support investments and address operational challenges. Both sides expressed interest in maintaining an ongoing dialogue to encourage investment, improve the business ecosystem, and further position Karnataka as a preferred destination for global industry.
