AMCHAM’s Pune Chapter Executive Committee held its first meeting in Pune on June 3^rd following the Pune GCC conference under the leadership of Mr. Anil Bhatia, Chairman – Pune Chapter, AMCHAM and Managing Director & VP, Emerson India and Mr. Paras Parrikkh, Co-Chairman – Pune Chapter, AMCHAM and Country Head, ACA Group. Mr. Bhatia welcomed members and emphasized the importance of building a strong and vibrant Pune Chapter. Members discussed strategies to expand the chapter’s membership base, with the Chair encouraging each committee member to support onboarding new member companies from Pune’s growing ecosystem of U.S. businesses. The committee deliberated on the vision and objectives for 2026–27, focusing on positioning Pune as one of AMCHAM’s leading chapters, strengthening engagement among U.S. companies, and enhancing collaboration with government, academia, and industry stakeholders. Members also reviewed the proposed workplan for the year. A key outcome of the discussion was the decision to organize a conference on data centers in Pune in early October 2026, following the strong interest generated during the Pune GCC conference. The committee also discussed organizing a series of focused roundtables to enhance member engagement and address industry-specific issues and opportunities. The launch of an Industry–Academia Interface Series aimed at fostering collaboration between industry and educational institutions to support talent development and future skills was also proposed as a new initiative for which members expressed their willingness to support and collaborate. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening the Pune Chapter and enhancing its role as a platform for industry dialogue, collaboration, and engagement in the region.
