Meeting with Dr. Manjula N., IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology and Secretary, Infrastructure Development Department, Government of Karnataka

On January 21st in Bengaluru, members of AMCHAM’s Karnataka Chapter met with Dr. Manjula N., IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology and Secretary, Infrastructure Development Department, Government of Karnataka. The meeting provided an opportunity for members to engage with department officials and discuss AMCHAM’s plans and priorities for 2026, with a focus on strengthening coordination and collaboration with the Government of Karnataka. Discussions centred on identifying key areas of engagement to further support U.S. companies operating in Karnataka and to enhance the state’s position as a preferred destination for global investment.

Members highlighted the importance of continued government support for technology-led growth, innovation, and ease of doing business, particularly across sectors such as information technology, global capability centers, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and R&D. The interaction underscored a shared commitment to working closely with the Department in 2026 to advance common objectives and deepen the long-standing partnership between U.S. industry and the state of Karnataka.
