AMCHAM’s Northern Region organized a webinar on ‘Employer Readiness for the New Labour Codes’ on December 9th. The webinar highlighted salient features of the labour code and how organizations can prepare for this major transition which represents one of the most significant reforms in India’s labour regulatory landscape in decades. The speakers at the webinar were Ms. Deepika Mathur, Executive Director Global Employer Services, Deloitte India and Ms. Ruchi Maini, Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, Deloitte India. The session was widely attended and it enumerated the rationale behind consolidation of codes, expected benefits to industry, timelines for implementation, and key challenges in adopting the revised codes, as well as technology readiness and immediate steps for employers ahead of full enforcement.
