Western Region Executive Committee Meeting

On September 17th, AMCHAM’s Western Region Executive Committee held a meeting online to finalize plans for the upcoming Western Region flagship conference scheduled for November 4th, 2025, in Mumbai. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Avinash Gupta, Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and MD & CEO – India, Dun & Bradstreet Information Services India. Mr. Siddhartha Ghosal, National Executive Board Member, AMCHAM and CEO & Country President, Dow Chemical, Ms. Shefali Goradia, National Executive Board Member, AMCHAM and Chairperson, Deloitte India, Mr. Hitesh Sharma, Partner, Ernst & Young, Ms. Simi Thapar, Country CEO, CSI Leasing, and Mr. Manoj Kumar Vijai, Managing Partner, KPMG in India, joined the meeting. Members endorsed a half-day format to encourage strong participation from industry and government leaders. Hence it was agreed that the flagship conference at the Jio Convention Center will start from 3:00 PM onwards, concluding with a networking cocktail dinner. The conference will focus on three key sessions – AI and cyber security, GCC policy with an emphasis on cultural alignment and ease of doing business, and manufacturing and investment opportunities. The possibility of including an economist’s perspective on broader economic and geopolitical issues would also be explored. Invitations will be extended to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the U.S. Consul General in Mumbai, and the U.S. Ambassador to India, underscoring the importance of government and diplomatic engagement. The discussions highlighted AMCHAM’s commitment to aligning the program with Maharashtra’s aspirations for growth through GCCs, advanced manufacturing, and digital innovation, with the November 4th conference positioned as a platform to strengthen industry-government collaboration and U.S.-India business ties.
