Door Knock Delegation Briefing with U.S. Embassy Officials
In preparation for AMCHAM’s door knock in Washington DC June 8th – 13th, the members of the delegation had a closed-door hybrid briefing with U.S. Embassy officials, Mr. Christopher Elms, Spokesperson, Mr. David Jea, Deputy Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs, Ms. Genessa Giorgi, Health Attache and Ms. Syeda Borchmeyer, Commercial Officer on May 23rd at the Boeing office in New Delhi. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM welcomed participants. Mr. Salil Gupte, Chairman, AMCHAM and President, Boeing India & South Asia provided the background and evolution of the annual door knock. Members gleaned insights on the current state of the U.S.-India partnership and asked sector specific questions. Members shared opportunities and challenges in healthcare, trade, technology collaboration, defense, agriculture, quantum, global supply chain and data centers, among others. The interaction was beneficial for the door knock delegation to have productive discussions in DC.
