A meeting was held on November 13^th with the Ministry of Finance held under the Chairpersonship of Chairman CBDT, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India to discuss suggestions/recommendations in respect to tax issues pertaining to different sectors made by AMCHAM. Mr. Amit Rana, Chairperson – Taxation, Tariff and Regulatory Affairs Committee, AMCHAM and Partner Corporate tax, PwC and Wg Cdr Rajiv Anand, Senior Director, AMCHAM shared the perspective of U.S. industry. The discussion included suggestions made to the government on personal income tax, corporate tax – assessment and appeals, withholding tax, transfer pricing and international tax, as well as various issues concerning customs.
