Members of AMCHAM’s ICT Committee and Electronics Manufacturing Committee met with Mr. Jitin Prasada, Hon’ble Minister of State for Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India on November 5th in New Delhi. Prominent technology leaders from AMD, AWS, Cisco, Dell, Honeywell, Intel and Microsoft showcased the strong presence of U.S. technology companies in India. Key government officials from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Ministry of Commerce and Industries and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), including Ms. Himani Pande, Additional Secretary, DPIIT and Ms. Asha Nangia, Scientist G & Group Coordinator, MeitY, joined the meeting. During the engaging discussion, members provided comprehensive insights into their operations in India, demonstrating how they contribute value to the nation’s technology ecosystem and align with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The Minister gained an in-depth understanding of these companies’ activities and their crucial role in advancing India’s digital transformation journey, marking another successful collaboration between AMCHAM and the government.
