On November 6th, AMCHAM met with Mr. Vipin Kumar, Chairman, Airport Authority of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India to share the contribution of U.S. industry in India on transformative aspects of the aviation sector, including innovation, skill development, sustainable infrastructure, automation, digital transformation and management systems. Mr. Salil Gupte, Chairman, AMCHAM and President, Boeing India & South Asia provided an overarching view of the aviation sector in the country then members shared about their specific contributions in the sector. Members sought insights and guidance from Mr. Kumar to work towards a smarter, more sustainable future for Indian airports with an increasing role for U.S. industry in India. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM proposed a follow up interactive roundtable with the respective technical team leads from the commercial and planning divisions of member companies to enable continued, meaningful dialogue.
