AMCHAM’s Tamil Nadu Chapter organized a breakfast meeting on October 26^th in Chennai with chief guest Mr. Kumar Jayant, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology & Digital Services Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, who announced that the state’s IT policy was under review and would be ready for launch within the next 2-3 months. He emphasized the importance of bridging academia and industry to foster skilled professionals, advocating for enhanced English language exposure from within the educational ecosystem. He invited AMCHAM to provide input on developing deep tech policies, especially aimed at supporting growth in tier-2 cities. Assuring continuous support, Mr. Jayant encouraged AMCHAM members to reach out directly to him for any IT-related issues, particularly if they experience delays or challenges with the Guidance Bureau.
