On September 25th, AMCHAM’s Western Region Executive Committee held a meeting at the John Deere office in Pune to discuss the progress of key initiatives and plan upcoming events. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Chandrakant Nayak, Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and CEO, DOW Chemical India and Mr. Shailendra Jagtap, Vice Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and MD, John Deere India. Mr. Anil Bhatia, National Executive Board Member, AMCHAM and MD, Emerson India and Mr. Hitesh Sharma, Partner, Ernst & Young joined the meeting. The committee received an update on the upcoming GCC Conference and the launch of the Pune Chapter, both scheduled for the next day. Ms. Rakhi Sikka, Regional Director – Western Region, AMCHAM provided a detailed briefing on the preparations, speakers and event logistics. Several upcoming events were discussed, mainly the Western Region signature event, the importance of organizing a budget session after the release of the Union Budget with a focus on the economic outlook and industry impact, proposed collaboration with MIDC in January 2025 for a food and agriculture sector session and the importance of expanding membership, particularly in Pune and Gujarat. The committee expressed enthusiasm for the GCC Conference and the Pune Chapter launch, and members look forward to executing the diverse range of programs planned for the rest of the year. The meeting concluded with thanks to the Chair and Vice-Chair.
