Interactive Session with Mr. Richard M. Rossow, Senior Adviser and Chair in U.S.-India Policy Studies, Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on Decoding Implication of New Political Order in India for U.S. Companies
With the results of the one month long general election in India were recently announced, resulting in the formation of a new coalition government, a virtual interactive session with Mr. Richard M. Rossow, Senior Adviser and Chair in U.S.-India Policy Studies, Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), was organized on June 11th on ‘Decoding Implication of New Political Order in India for U.S. Companies.’ The session focused on the political and economic implications of India’s new political order for U.S. industry, particularly regarding trade, investment and strategic issues. Mr. Rossow provided a comprehensive review of the expected impacts on India’s foreign policies in areas such as FDI, defense ties, supply chains, semiconductors, AI, cybersecurity, life sciences, space, people-to-people ties and regional coordination. Additionally, discussions addressed India’s commitments to sustainable development and environmental preservation policies. The program was well attended by AMCHAM members across India, fostering robust interactions on various issues.
