AMCHAM’s Western Region Executive Committee convened virtually on April 22^nd under the leadership of Mr. Chandrakant Nayak, Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and CEO and Country President, Dow India. The primary focus of the meeting was to explore initiatives aimed at enhancing member engagement and the upcoming National Executive Board elections. After a comprehensive discussion, it was unanimously agreed upon by all members present that due to the limited initiatives taken in the previous term for certain unavoidable circumstances, continuity was essential. Consequently, Mr. Chandrakant Nayak would continue to serve as the Chair of the Western Region, and the composition of the Executive Committee would remain unchanged. Several key initiatives were discussed during the meeting including a Western Region signature event ideally in early July. Various topics were suggested by members, ranging from the financial sector to GenAI and the economic scenario. It was proposed to share these topics with the Deputy Chief Minister’s office once governmental commitment was secured, and finalize the structure based on their preferences. A Global Capability Center (GCC) Conference, spearheaded by AMCHAM’s GCC Committee, would be organized in Pune.
