AMCHAM met Mr. Mahmood Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on February 22nd at his office in New Delhi. Discussions were held around the revision of MV Aggregator Guidelines and opportunities for collaboration for U.S. companies with the Ministry on technologies for road safety. The meeting was attended by Mr. Sanjay Chadha, Co-Chairman – Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee, AMCHAM and Director – Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs, Uber India Systems Private Limited and Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM. Mr. Mahmood Ahmed agreed to positively consider the issues discussed at the meeting and also advised the way forward for further action.
