On February 7th, AMCHAM met with Mr. Sushil Pal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Mr. Naveen Tandon, Co-Chairman – Electronics Manufacturing Committee, AMCHAM and Head Policy & Strategy, Apple India and Mr. Vivek Vats, Director Government Affairs and Public Policy, HP Inc. briefed the Joint Secretary on AMCHAM’s role in driving dialogue in the U.S.-India partnership and on developing the tech corridor. Mr. Pal shared ideas on domestic value addition as well as indigenization of semiconductor research in India. He has shown interest in participating in a discussion with the Electronics Manufacturing Committee members to enhance collaboration and explore opportunities for mutual growth.
