AMCHAM’s Northern Region, based out of New Delhi, is the nodal point of collaboration for U.S. companies operating in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for interacting with state government authorities. The region also facilitates interaction and advocacy with the central government ministries and departments.

The Northern Region coordinates ease of doing business challenges from members to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, under the U.S.-India Fast Track Mechanism set up by the Ministry of Commerce. The region also facilitates briefings by USG officials.

Meetings with key officials of various ministries are arranged from time to time to discuss key issues as they arise. Regular engagements with the DPIIT and Invest India are undertaken for resolving member issues processed through the U.S.-India Fast Track Mechanism.
