Core members of AMCHAM’s Medical Device Committee met on September 5th virtually to discuss upcoming initiatives and activities. Members decided the committee would continue to focus on ease of doing business and access to quality and innovative healthcare. Boston Scientific, BD, BSAG (McLarty Associates strategic partner for India), GE Healthcare, India Medtronic, J&J, Stryker and Teleflex were represented. Policy roundtables with stakeholders, engagements with neighboring countries (Bangladesh & Sri Lanka), engagements with state governments, a healthcare flagship event, patient safety awareness session and a campaign on preventive health were among initiatives discussed.
