On December 2nd, Honorary National Executive Board Members of AMCHAM, Ms. Aileen Nandi, Minister Counselor Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy and Mr. Robert Garverick, Minister Counselor EEST, U.S. Embassy, briefed members on the current state of U.S.-India bilateral relations. Members found the session and candid discussions very useful. Procurement related issues, labour reforms, Data Privacy Bill, price control issues of the medical devices sector, market access issues in agriculture, telecom testing and so forth, were topics discussed and members requested support from the U.S. Embassy on challenges. Going forward AMCHAM would organize similar bimonthly briefings with both Embassy officials and their respective sections.
