On October 20th, the first meeting of AMCHAM’s Manufacturing Committee 2020-2021 was organized over Webex. The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, Western Region, AMCHAM India. Ms. Khanna shared an overview of the key initiatives of the committee over the past year and insights on the valuable partnership with Invest India and Ministry of Commerce. Mr. Mukul Varshney, Co-Chairman – Manufacturing Committee, AMCHAM and Director – Corporate Affairs, Media and Communications, John Deer India, chaired the meeting. Through his opening remarks he welcomed members, set the stage and shared the agenda of the meeting. He invited members to share their experiences, issues and areas of advocacy to further include them in the framework and roadmap of the committee for the year. Over a round of introductions members shared experiences, issues, focus area and proposed interactions with agencies and departments of the central and state governments. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Varshney.
