On 10th September 2015, the 7th edition of the CLO Chief Learning Officers Summit India held at the Four Seasons, Mumbai was supported by AmCham India. The Summit offered a unique platform for aspiring young leaders and entrepreneurs to not only sharpen their skills but it was also an opportunity to learn from some of the luminaries in the industry today. There were engaging discussions through a series of sessions focusing on Leadership development, Coaching, Development and a Learning Culture among various other topics. These sessions created an opportunity for promoting Individual and Organizational Learning & Development.The Summit opened with an inauguration and welcome by Dr. S. Parasuraman, Director, Tata Institute of Social Sciences followed by an opening plenary session ‘Leaders on Leadership’. The two days entailed 21 sessions focusing on Rebuilding Learning and Development functions, developing a learning culture, innovative practices in L&D, Engagement and Technologies with speakers from Network 18, BSE, Twitter-India, Adobe, CitiBank, D.E. Shaw, Reliance Industries among others.

Among the many participants, the two day CLO Summit was attended by several members and representatives of AmCham member companies. AmCham India supported the event with member representatives from CA Technologies, Owens Corning, D. E. Shaw India who shared their expertise as panel speakers at the Summit. The first day of the Summit also had a TISS CLO Awards Ceremony which was attended by the Chief Guest Ms. Poonam Mahajan, MP & National Secretary BJP. Twenty-five delegates who tweeted about their preferred topic had the opportunity to share their views with the audience at the closing session called the ‘UnConference’.
